Simon Labrecque is Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister of Canada Economic Development for the Regions of Quebec (CED) since April 2016. Previously, he held various management and analyst positions within CED, within the policy, operations and corporate services branches. Simon completed an MBA at ESG UQAM with a double degree at the Université Paris Dauphine.

Marked by an interest in international relations, he completed a seminar in China with the China University of Mining and Technology. Simon holds a bachelor degree from the Université de Montréal and HEC Montréal. Simon is involved in his community and joined the Montreal Hub – Global Shapers in 2016. Simon was awarded the Prix de l’excellence de la relève given to a public servant who is a source of inspiration through his initiatives, is innovative and demonstrates leadership in his workplace.
